Is this now the end, from time to time?
Meeting you has brought me joy, has it not?

Have you grown sad upon meeting me again?

A mere thought crossed my mind, perhaps:
Do you ponder now, do you ponder still?

My life seems but a shadow, a mere ghost,
Yet you remain my life, do you not?

What of love, is it truly eternal?
Is this the final meeting, do you believe?

Yes, the atmosphere here is faintly still,
Are you now a beacon, sharply bright?

All my jests fall ineffectual, unheeded,
Have you traveled far beyond my reach?

Is the flame of hope now extinguished?
Upon this ocean, I am parched and worn,

Are you still drifting, lost to me?
