What if I asked you? by Mason Carter

What if I asked you?
To falter once about dark circles around my eyes,
And conquer my persona to see what hides behind!
A chaotic, scarred and poisoned soul in decay.
Would you still look at me like I was the only one?

What if I told you!
Beauty is hardwired deep in the pain and suffering,
Yet no one ever falls in love with broken things.
''They seek for perfections and scars are all I am"
In his loneliest, the self-destructive would think.
Sometimes, all cuts are justified,
Just because you love the one,
Holding the knife....
