The Poetry by Mason Carter

The Poetry Poetry needs to work as the dark saint Of sublime darkness whose screeches May conjure the long dead sepulchres To rise again an’ sing the hymn to liberty. Thus it needs to spark a flame within Which burns a man of enlightenment To break long frozen oceans on inside To set free the wage slaves and sing: They are dumb, deaf and blind as they; have tongues that don’t speak the truth have the ears that hear not the truth. have eyes but they don’t see the truth Hence the poetry must be- eyes to the blind Ears to the deaf an’ tongue to the dumb. The flame of freedom to enslaved heart And divine reform in the society and man. -Mason Carter
