The Liberty

In thy name I pen down my dark hymns
When gods of earth rejoice their fame,
And the poor in rags beg in the streets.
In my longings oft I sigh out thy name.

In thy name I pen down my dark hymns
When youth is busy watching the sports
With dreams of riches and having it all
Watching their real heroes doing drugs.

In thy name I pen down my dark hymns,
When people are home enjoying storms
And dies the roofless poor begger old
In my tears I then sigh out thy name.

In thy name I pen down my dark hymns
When the poets are writing about laces
The faithful praying in their temples.
And with trembling heart I sigh out thy name…

Liberty…
