Rebel’s Lullaby by Mason Carter

Rebel’s Lullaby

Close you little eyes, the day has fallen down
Now as you sleep, listen close, the rebel’s song.
Sing along the red mob ralley against the crown,
Calling the oppressed to organise and pass along-

The message of a struggle that we stand by.
Close your little eyes and remember my child,
To organise an’ fight is the only rebel’s lullaby.
Hush! Hushabye baby! The night has whiled.

The workers will know their power and say
“We are the songs of the red mob revolution.
Let us all unite now on the red communal bay
To organise and fight is the only resolution.”

Close your little eyes, the day has falled down.
Now as you sleep, listen close, the rebel’s song.
Sing along the red mob ralley against the crown,
Calling the oppressed to organise and fight…
